Atlanta, Georgia-The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) unveiled its 2024 Preseason Predicted Order of Finish on Wednesday morning. The Tigers of Edward Waters have been predicted to finish sixth in 2024, finishing in front of Kentucky State, Savannah State, Central State, Clark Atlanta, Allen, Lane, and Morehouse. Placing ahead of the Purple & Orange are defending conference champ Benedict in the #5 spot, #4 Tuskegee, #3 Miles, #2 Fort Valley State, and 2023 conference runner-up Albany State in the top spot.
After getting out of the blocks slowly in 2023 dropping their first three games of the season, Edward Waters rallied in a big way, winning six of the teams last seven contests to earn a 6-4 mark, the program's first winning mark since the 2004 campaign. The Tigers also had their best conference mark since rejoining the league in 2021, earning a 5-3 SIAC record.
Edward Waters will open their 2024 campaign on Saturday, August 31st in Atlanta against conference foe Morehouse College.
