Wilberforce, Ohio-History was made by the Edward Waters Men's Volleyball squad on Friday in their SIAC road contest against Central State. Not only did the Tigers earn a 3-0 sweep of the Marauders to maintain their firm grip of first place and their undefeated mark in the SIAC, EWU handed Central State, the defending champions of the conference, their first SIAC home loss in program history.
Edward Waters (12-4, 8-0 SIAC) was led by
Evens Edouard who had nine kills, three service aces and, three blocks in the matchup.
Bryan Pepen had seven kills, one ace, one block, two assists, and eight digs, while
Kaelen Ingram contributed seven kills.
Jhoan Capellan finished with 17 assists to lead the way for the Tigers as well.
The Tigers will next head to Fort Valley State for their final regular season road match on Thursday at 6:00pm.
