Jacksonville, Florida-Edward Waters could not get over the hump on Saturday afternoon, falling 56-50 to Morehouse in an SIAC men's basketball matchup at the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports & Music Complex.
The Tigers (4-17, 3-13 SIAC) and Maroon Tigers (12-8, 9-6 SIAC) were close in just about every statistic in the contest as both defenses put the clamps on each other's offensive outputs. The difference in the contest came in the turnover department, where the Purple & Orange could not hold on to the basketball. The Tigers season high 30 turnovers in the contest resulted in 30 points for the visitors.
Larry Kuimi led Edward Waters with 16 points and eight rebounds, while
Cahlib Edwards turned in a double figure afternoon with 10 points for Edward Waters.
EWU will return to action on Monday evening with a 7:30pm tipoff against Clark-Atlanta at the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
