Albany, Georgia-A dismal first three quarters of play for Edward Waters sent the Purple & Orange to a 50-41 loss at Albany State in the regular season finale on Monday evening at the Arena at West Campus.

The Lady Tigers (10-15, 6-12 SIAC) could not get their bearings about themselves in the contest, shooting just 25.9% from the floor on 15-58 shooting. Three-point shooting for the Purple & Orange was not any better as Edward Waters hit just 11.1% from beyond the arc on 2-18 shooting. The EWU effort from the charity stripe struggled as well, with the Lady Tigers hitting 50% of their free throws. 

Khadija Smith was the lone Lady Tiger in double figures on the evening, posting a 14 point, three rebound effort in the contest. Paige Sanders scored eight points, and backcourt mate Jourdan Avery scored eight points to go along with four steals, and three rebounds.

Edward Waters will now turn their attention to their first appearance at the TIAA SIAC Basketball Championships presented by Cricket Wireless. Women's action will begin. on Sunday, February 26th and will take place at Tiger Arena on the campus of Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.
