Jacksonville, Florida-With the contest tied at 62-62 with less that one second left in the fourth quarter, a late EWU foul sent visiting Tuskegee to the free throw line where they sank two shots that turned out to be the game winner in a 64-62 loss for the Lady Tigers in an SIAC matchup Monday evening at the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
Edward Waters (4-6, 2-3 SIAC) carried a seven point lead into the locker room at the half, thanks to a solid showing in the second quarter. Unfortunately for the Lady Tigers, a quick 7-0 run from Tuskegee (6-3, 3-2 SIAC) in the third quarter sent the contest into a flux down the stretch. The Tigerettes and Lady Tigers went back and forth in the fourth quarter with each squad trading shots and opportunities with the lead. With Edward Waters trailing 62-60 with :08 remaining in regulation,
Imani Harris banked a shot in off of the glass with :02 left to square the contest up at 62-62.
Sha'Kawanza Brown was charged with a foul with 0.3 remaining which allowed the visitors to hit two free throws and escape with the two point win.
Tuskegee outshot Edward Waters 40% to 36% in the tightly contested matchup which was a rematch of last season's SIAC Tournament semifinal game.
Imani Harris led the Lady Tigers with 17 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.
Kayla Horton finished with 11 points and six rebounds, while
