Temple Terrace, Florida-The Edward Waters women's soccer squad got back to their winning ways on Saturday evening with a 3-1 road victory at Florida College at Qualls Field.
The Lady Tigers (6-4-1) turned back up their offensive intensity with 31 total shots, 24 of them being on goal. Edward Waters got the scoring started in the 34th minute when
Lara Viehrig scored on an assist from
Daniela Iduriaga to take a 1-0 lead, which EWU took to the halftime break.
Dahien Cabrera scored in the 55th minute on another assist from Iduriaga to double up the lead at 2-0. After assisting on two goals, Iduriaga got into the scoring act herself in the 58th minute to take a 3-0 lead. The Lady Tigers' quest at a clean sheet was thwarted in the 64th minute, cutting the lead to two, but more than enough to earn victory.
Cabrera led EWU with 10 shots, while Iduriaga was just behind with seven.
Sheila Pascual had three saves in the match as well for Edward Waters.
The Lady Tigers will return home for their final home contest of the season on Tuesday, October 24th at 2:00pm against Albany State.
